ADD/ADHD People all too often get into Serious Trouble with Themselves and Society.
Individuals with ADD/ADHD characteristics, especially impulsivity, are predisposed to behave in ways that self-harm and contribute to a variety of the ills of society.
For example, a careful examination of people suffering from alcoholism, bulimia, compulsive gambling, post-tramatic stress, and anorexia or involved in spousal and child abuse and reckless driving very likely have untreated ADD/ADHD brain chemistry.
Sadly, if they are treated, these individuals are commonly treated for their psychological misbehaviors only and not for their underlying ADD/ADHD brain chemistry.
This subject is discussed in considerable detail my book, The ADD Brain.
